About us

From a very early age, I can remember loving photography—browsing through my dad’s photos of his travels and of our family, and reading and living vicariously through the large “coffee table” photo books that adorned our home. As a young woman, I had the opportunity to do a good amount of traveling throughout the U.S. and abroad. A camera always at my side, my joy of capturing the beauty of these new destinations and the people who inhabited them, became part of my life and my most beloved hobby.

The idea for Batya Organics came from my desire to take the white “canvas” of a tee-shirt and create a virtual “landscape” for wearable art on which my travel photographs could be playfully displayed.

Beginning with a toddler line seemed like the natural choice. Possessing a wonderful appreciation for the world around them, children are always enthusiastic about seeing photographs that not only reflect their own experiences, but also excite their imaginations. All the images illustrated on Batya Tees are my personal photographs taken from nature—from animals and landscapes—to flowers and birds. With each new series of tee-shirts, I will be showcasing another outstanding location, celebrated for its unique beauty.

Using organic cotton and not harming the ecosystem was an important consideration in the production of my tees. All of the organic cotton used in our products is manufactured on farms that use sustainable farming techniques. It feels great to work with fabrics that are eco-friendly, organic and have a low-impact on the environment.

Thank you for shopping with Batya Organics. As we continue to grow, we hope to see you back again and again.
